Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME)

The ZHAW School of Management and Law is since 2014 signatory of the United Nations Global Compact initiative Principles for Responsible Management Education (UN PRME). PRME’S mission is to transform management education and develop the responsible decision-makers of tomorrow to advance sustainable development and the 2030 Agenda. ZHAW School of Management and Law is committed to implement the six PRME principles of purpose, values, method, research, dialogue and partnerships by providing shared information on progress reports of the school’s activities every two years.

As part of the PRME initiative, representatives of the School of Management and Law will participate in the 10th Responsible Management Education Conference that will take place in Lisbon, Portugal at the 26th-28th September 2023 hosted by the Iscte Business School. The theme of this year’s conference will be “Sustainable and Responsible Management: A decade of Integrating knowledge and creating societal impact through Innovation and Entrepreneurship”.

On the 24th October 2023 the ZHAW SML PRME in collaboration with Zurich Carbon Market Association are organising the “Young Professional Day 2023: Carbon Markets”. Carbon Markets are playing an increasingly important role in the global fight against climate change. They are used as an instrument to finance climate protection and thus reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Following the vote on the Swiss Climate and Innovation Act on 18 June 2023, this topic is becoming more important than ever, especially in Switzerland.
